Maybe the two of you have had a few drinks and now feel like Sonny and Cher. Dancing is a fun way to loosen up with your date and express yourself. There’s nothing sexier than a date who’s confident on the dance floor. Downtown San Diego has dozens of bars and clubs to dance at, no matter what your style is. Salsa dance at Sevilla (free salsa lessons every Wednesday), line dance at Moonshine Flats, or get down to Top 40 hits at Side Bar.
The Headquarters at Seaport Village
The Headquarters at Seaport Village is an open-air market offering a range of retail, dining and entertainment venues spread throughout a heritage site– the former San Diego Police Headquarters built in 1939. There are eight great restaurants at The Headquarters. For fine dining, our favorite is Eddie V’s, offering premium aged steaks and fresh seafood in a setting reminiscent of old Hollywood glamor. For something more casual, Puesto is known for its refined Mexican street food with an emphasis on fresh, sustainably grown, all natural and organic ingredients. The Headquarters hosts various events throughout the year, so check their event calendar to see what’s going on.
PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres, is in the heart of Downtown San Diego! Even if you don’t love baseball, it’s a fun atmosphere for a date. Grab a beer, buy each other a hot dog at 7th inning stretch, and cheer on those sexy men in tight pants! PETCO Park also hosts concerts and festivals. Check out the full list of events at PETCO Park here.

If you’re both cat lovers, The Cat Cafe in Downtown San Diego is a magical coffee shop where you can play with adorable cats while you sip on coffee or espresso. If you fall in love with one of the kitties, they’re available for adoption. Open daily from 8am to 3pm.
Take a Harbor Cruise
Take a romantic date on a yacht while enjoying stunning views of San Diego’s skyline and harbor. Dinner cruises offer food, drinks, live music, and dancing. Plus legend has it that kissing under the Coronado Bridge will bring good luck, so be sure to give each other a smooch when you cruise under. Flagship and Hornblower both offer a variety of cruises to choose from. If you want to kick things up a notch, captain your own speedboat in San Diego Harbor with Speed Boat Adventures.
